The Gift of Fellowship

14th June, 2018 / Christian Living

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians1:9).

Being born again, you’re in fellowship with Jesus Christ. The Greek word for fellowship is “koinonia,” which refers to oneness, partnership, communion, and sharing. We’re one with the Lord, and it’s the greatest thing about our Christianity. It’s the whole essence of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; His vicarious suffering, and triumphant resurrection brought us into oneness with God.

1 John 1: 3 “…That which we have seen and heard declare we unto, you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”

It’s impossible for anyone to know this and live in frustration. You can’t understand this and be uncertain about the future, because you know that you’re in league with the owner of the universe, who loves you more than life.

You’ve been given a life of transcendental blessings in Christ. It’s part of the blessings that being in fellowship with the Lord confers on you.
